John Jennings

President, Jones Interactive and CIO, Jones International

 

John Jennings has over 30 years of experience in infrastructure design and operations across several industries, including telecommunications, financial services, manufacturing, and education. His primary responsibilities at Jones include strategic technology direction, implementation and support, as well as information security and compliance, business intelligence and consulting, program management, process and change management and compliance.

Prior to this engagement John spent eleven years as Vice President, Corporate Technology Group at OppenheimerFunds with responsibilities spanning servers, networks, databases, telecommunications, security engineering, business continuity and disaster recovery. While at Oppenheimer, John led the effort to create one of the largest virtualized infrastructures in the Rocky Mountain. One of John’s most important designs was used to maintain the global trading business after losing several floors in the World Trade Center disaster on 9/11/2001 and again when Manhattan was plunged into darkness on 8/14/2003.

John has also held management and executive technology positions with AT&T, American Brands, and Times Mirror.

John holds an MS degree in Telecommunications from the University of Colorado and a BS degree in Computer Information Science from Regis University.
