Position Summary:
Responsibilities will include providing administrative support to the Office of the Registrar processing student information required for the admission, registration, graduation of students and maintaining student records and information. This position will serve as lead administrative support to the Office of the Registrar with finance, admissions and human relations functions. General duties will also include answering phones, processing correspondence, filing and miscellaneous office tasks as needed on a daily basis.
Technical /Task Statements:
• Ensure compliance with administrative policies and procedures.
• Create and maintain student files, ensuring all academic records are kept current and accurate.
• Maintain extensive document filing system, coordinating with Financial Aid.
• Secure student records for FERPA compliance.
• Process Admission documents
• Compile Applicant files for review
• Transcript ordering for applicants
• Provide clear communication to students, faculty, staff and administration.
• Generate and update reports in CampusVue.
• Ability to communicate both orally and in writing in a clear and straightforward manner using appropriate grammar and spelling applications.
• Ability to plan, prioritize and organize effectively
• Maintain security and confidentiality
• Ability to multi-task effectively
• Schedule meetings, presentations and training sessions
• Knowledge of personal computer operations and software applications including e-mail
• Knowledge of general office procedures
Formal Education Required and/or Equivalent Experience:
• Bachelor's Degree preferred.
• Two years administrative experience required.
• University student records, registrar, or admissions experience preferred.
• Customer service in an online environment preferred.
Materials, Software & Equipment Used & Frequency:
• Intermediate Microsoft Excel and Word skills.
• Intermediate Access skills.
• Basic database skills.
• Intermediate Internet and Web skills.
• Multi-line phone system

Work Environment/Physical Activities:
• Office environment.
• Ability to work while seated for prolonged periods.

• Regular and consistent attendance required.
• Office working environment with phone coverage, faxing, copying, maintenance of files, organizing meetings, coordinating personnel issues, assisting with finance and purchasing, etc.
