Position Summary:
The Technology Systems Analyst is responsible for ensuring that all JIU stakeholders experience JIU’s Gold Standard of Excellence. This is done by participating in all phases (planning, design, development, deployment, and operations) of supporting our various application “systems” which make up the “JIU Application Ecosystem”. This person is considered the subject matter expert and administrator for these systems and is frequently involved with training our internal and external customers, as well as conducting research and development initiatives to innovate and improve these systems for current and future needs. This person uses their ability to understand and translate customer needs into business and technical requirements during planning and design, while leveraging their hands-on technical expertise as they develop and deploy system changes or fix issues. The Technology Systems Analyst reports to the Director of Technology Systems and Support and is responsible for responding to all system users to address issues and concerns with respect and compassion in a timely manner. This person must be detail-oriented, organized, be able to prioritize and manage multiple tasks efficiently, and be available for emergency support or scheduled systems changes on weekends and evenings.
Formal Education Required and/or Equivalent Experience:
· Bachelor of Science in Computer Science or Information Systems (Preferred)
· 3-5 years CampusVue (or other Student Information System) Administration (Preferred)
