Charter Endorses IP Voice
Denver (June 12) - As Charter Communications, Inc. (Nasdaq:CHTR) continues its aggressive launch of Charter Telephone service in 2006, the company is recommending that its own installation and service technicians, as well as Charter Telephone installation contractors add supplemental training to their training schedules. Charter Communications recently notified its field operators and installation contractors that it recommends Jones/NCTI training for Voice over Internet Protocol service.
"We want to make certain that our customers have the best service possible from Charter Telephone, and training plays a major role in that commitment," said Doug Daut, Director of Technical and Safety Training at Charter Communications. "We put a great deal of thought into how we accomplish the training of our people."
The web-based Jones/NCTI IP Voice program is an online course that includes three hours of video, where learners ride along with an installer as he takes them step-by-step through all the aspects of IP voice service. The video is interspersed with animation, text material and scripted close-up demonstrations. The entire course can be taken in an intensive, two-day session or over several days. Because it is Internet-based, learners can take the course at their own pace.
