Jones Radio Networks to Offer Jones Standards Format
Jones Radio Networks®, Inc. (JRN), America's leading independent radio programming company, is pleased to announce the addition of the Jones Standards format launching January 19th.
The Jones Standards format is a fresh mix of classic songs performed by the great singers of yesterday and today's top vocalists, familiar instruments and top hits. The format will feature singing legends such as Frank Sinatra, Harry Connick Jr., Tony Bennett, Rod Stewart, Neil Diamond and Ella Fitzgerald.
"Jones Standards will certainly remain true to the core audience, but just as other formats evolve, so should standards", said Phil Barry, JRN Group VP/General Manager. "Our research has clearly indicated that we cannot look at Jones Standards as some sort of modified soft AC. Personalities are extremely important. 'That was..., this is...,' won't cut it. We're taking the approach that we're playing 'The Greatest Songs Ever Made'- our presenters will be very knowledgeable and will make our listeners comfortable, while not spending too much time reminiscing," said Barry.
JRN will create and market a fully produced and locally integrated broadcast of Jones Standards programming in a simple plug-and-play package. JRN will also handle both advertising sales via Jones MediaAmerica®, Inc. (JMA) and affiliate sales for the format.
Jones Standards is backed by continuous market research and a depth of hands-on experience only JRN can offer. JRN will provide affiliates with a complete radio experience, including tested music, imaging, and production.
