Project Management MBA Receives Endorsement
Jones International University designated PMI provider
DENVER (Nov. 2, 2005)- The Project Management Institute® (PMI®), the respected professional association which certifies project managers, has designated Jones International University® (JIU®) as a Registered Educational Provider (R.E.P.). This designation identifies JIU as a provider of top quality project management education within its Master of Business Administration and Master of Arts in Business Communication programs.
The project management courses at JIU are recognized as providing the educational background for project managers applying for "Project Management Professional" (PMP®) certification. PMI certification for the PMP requires a combination of relevant education and work experience and a passing score on a PMI certification examination. These courses are also accepted toward Continuing Certification Requirements for existing PMPs.
"Project managers are in high demand in every technological field and more businesses are recognizing the value of a candidate with a graduate degree focusing on project management," said JIU's business administration Department Chair Richard Thompson, Ph.D.
JIU has offered a fully accredited MBA and MABC since 1999. The R.E.P. endorsement brings another recognition of the online university's academic quality.
Along with the graduate and undergraduate degree programs in business administration and business communication, JIU also offers master's degrees in education.
