DENVER, Colo., (March 19, 2013) — Jones International University®, Ltd.
(JIU®) announced the National
Council for Accreditation of Teacher Education (NCATE)has confirmed Jones International
University’s School of Education as a candidate for accreditation under this
governing body. JIU has met each of NCATE’s preconditions required
before becoming an official candidate for accreditation. The Unit Accreditation
Board (UAB) officially accepts candidates at its semi-annual meetings in April
and October.

International University® (JIU®) is pleased to announce that Ellie Shahinian Baldwin Ph.D has been appointed as the University’s Dean for the School of Education,
effective immediately.
In this role, Dr. Baldwin will be responsible for leading and managing academic
activities for JIU’s School of Education including oversight of the curriculum,
instruction, and assessment of student learning to ensure teaching excellence
and fulfillment of the University’s vision and mission.
